Bangladesh estimates 7.65pc economic growth for this fiscal year

Bangladesh has estimated that per capita income will rise to $1,752 in the current fiscal year (FY) ending Jun 30 from $1,610 a year ago.

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal revealed the information at a meeting in Dhaka on Tuesday, reports bdnews24.

The GDP growth will accelerate to 7.65 per cent in fiscal 2017-18 from 7.28 per cent in the previous fiscal year, Kamal said citing provisional data.

The growth estimate for FY18 is the fastest on record, Kamal said.
