Canada apartment fire claims three lives

Three people were killed and 11 others wounded in a fire that broke out early Saturday in an apartment in Longueuil, Quebec Province, Canada, according to CTV.

The fire broke out in the apartment building at around 01:00am local time. Fourteen people were taken to hospital, where a couple in their 40s and a woman in her 60s died, reports Xinhua.

Against strong winds, firefighters took more than seven hours to extinguish the fire around 08:30am local time.
