Two die after bus plunges into roadside ditch in Noakhali

At least two people were killed and 15 others injured when a bus plunged into a roadside ditch on Choumuhoni-Feni road at Jamidarhat Boropul in Begumganj upazila of Noakhali on Wednesday night.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet, according to a news agency report.

Firoz Alam Molla, officer-in-charge of Begumganj Police Station, said the accident took place around 10:00pm when a Feni-bound bus of 'Sugandha Paribahan' from Noakhali plunged into the roadside ditch after one of its wheels got punctured, leaving two passengers killed on the spot and 15 others injured.

The injured were taken to a local hospital.
