Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive arrested a suspected drug trading couple along with 5,300 pieces of yaba tablets (worth Tk 2.65m) from Pahartoli area in Chattogram city in the early hours of Sunday.
The arrestees are Md Kamal Hossain, 38, and his wife Juthy Begum, 25, hailing from Madaripur district.
On information, a team of RAB-7 conducted the drive in front of Nur-A Madina Filing Station in AK Khan area at around 12:35am and arrested the couple along with the contraband tablets worth Tk 2.65 million, said a RAB press release.
