Four people died and two others were injured in a road accident in Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali on Monday.
Begumganj Police OC Firoze Hossain Molla said the accident occurred when when a bus collided with an auto-rickshaw on Begumganj-Sonaimuri road at Mirwarishpur area around 2:30 pm on Monday, reports bdnews24.com.
Police said all of the dead, two men and two women, were auto rickshaw passengers. But further details of their identities could not be known immediately.
"A Noakhali-bound Himachal Paribahan bus from Dhaka hit an auto-rickshaw, headed from Begumganj to Sonaimurai, killing four people on the spot and injuring two other," said Firoze Hossain.
The injured was taken to a local hospital.
