A man was killed and another injured when a truck rammed a covered-van on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Rajendrapur intersection in Gazipur on Wednesday.
The dead man was identified as Mosharraf Hossain, a helper of the truck driver, hailing from Mymensingh district, reports UNB.
Zakir Hossain, station officer of Gazipur Fire Service and Civil Defence, said the accident took place when a truck hit a Mymensingh-bound covered-van from rear, leaving the truck driver Abu Hanif and helper injured.
The injured were then taken to a local hospital where the doctors declared Mosharraf dead.
