A minor boy died from electrocution in Basail municipality area of Tangail district on Thursday.
The dead boy was identified as seven-year-old Jihad, son of mahor Ali, from Purbo Nayapara in the municipality.
Councilor Shahanur Rahman said the incident occurred at around 10:30am. Jihad came in contact with the live wire at his house while switching on their television, reports BSS.
He was rushed to Basail Upazila Health Complex where the duty doctor declared him dead.
