Coast Guard seizes 70 maunds jatka in Bhola

Members of Bangladesh Coast Guard in a drive seized 70 maunds of jatka from the Tentulia River at Bhelumia in Sadar upazila on Friday morning.

Tipped-off, a team from South Zone Coast Guard conducted a drive in the river and seized the hilsa fries from a trawler, said Lieutenant Yanur of the zone.

Sensing the presence of law enforcers, the trawler inmates fled the scene.

Later, the seized jatka were distributed among orphans and destitute people, reports UNB.
