Too many private cars causing traffic jam

DAY by day, the traffic situation of Dhaka city is going from bad to worse. Too many private cars have been choking the lifeline of our traffic system. I think the government should do something about it. We see too many private vehicles plying on the roads as CNG is cheap. These private cars occupy 70 per cent of our road space but they carry less than 10 per cent of the total commuters. We should introduce more public buses in order to discourage people to buy private cars.
We do not have enough roads to accommodate huge private transports and therefore should restrict the number of private cars within a limit. It is high time we set some rules for purchase of all private and public vehicles to ease traffic congestion in the city.
