Health ministry indifferent to quality medical service

PEOPLE expect a lot from the government on issues of health and food. Health clinics have mushroomed across the country over the years spreading even in remote rural areas that offer different types of medical services. Most of the diagnostic centres are using expired chemicals for diagnostic tests and the test reports are signed by only one health technician in an area.
In absence of reliable services in the public hospitals which are still far from being adequate, patients go to private diagnostic centres and spend a lot of money with the hope of getting better services. But even there they are cheated in the name of modern health services. Mobile courts have detected the presence of fake doctors in substandard private medical hospitals.
Incidents of question paper leak have become commonplace and admission by donation is an open secret. This is a threat for the people if not anything else. We are making ourselves open to wrong treatment by doctors of substandard quality. A mistake committed by an engineer can be repaired, but a mistake by a doctor may be the cause of death of a patient. The Health Ministry is pledge-bound to offer right medical treatment for the citizens and at the same time keep a vigilant eye on the affairs of private hospitals and diagnostics centres.
