CHILDREN are the most vulnerable beings in Bangladesh society. They are subjected to abuse and repression. It is unthinkable how could some one hurt innocent children when they deserve to be loved and cared. Children are being raped. They are being murdered. This is totally incomprehensible and unacceptable for a country that earned its independence through armed struggle. Sometimes the children are also being killed by their own parents which is a psychosomatic disorder. This cannot go on. It is imperative that extensive and coordinated state and social initiatives be taken up against murder, sexual abuse and other brutalities against children.
