Mercantile Bank organised a two day workshop titled "Comprehensive Risk Management" for senior credit & foreign trade officers at its training institute in Dhaka recently.
A total of 50 officials from various branches of the bank participated in the workshop, says a press statement received on Monday.
Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, MD & CEO of the Bank, inaugurated the workshop and delivered his speech advising the participants to acquire in-depth knowledge of all areas of core risk management of banking practices. He also stressed the importance of understanding Basel core principles and its impact on core risk areas.
Adil Raihan, DMD & CSBO, Tapash Chandra Paul, PhD, Chief Financial Officer & Head of Risk Management Division and Javed Tariq, Principal of MBTI were present at the programme.
