The Emirates team in Bangladesh trumped strong competition from the airline’s global network to win the prestigious Chairman’s Award for Sales Excellence.

After tough preliminary rounds that were shortlisted to four finalists, Bangladesh clinched the Best Sales Team award ahead of Germany, Hong Kong, and United Kingdom, says a press release received on Wednesday.

The coveted accolade recognised the Bangladesh team for setting exemplary standards with their innovation and performance, for better understanding customer needs and forging excellent relationships in the local market, the statement added.

Saeed Abdulla Miran, manager of  Emirates Bangladesh said: “It is a great honour for our team and is a direct outcome of building strong customer relationships over the years, our outstanding team spirit and our commitment. Everyone in the team contributed to make it happen.

“Bangladesh is a high-growth market, and despite fierce competition, we are successful because of our pragmatic and innovative approach. Our dedication is supported by Emirates’ world-class products and services, global network and one of the youngest fleets in the skies.”

The Chairman’s Award is a global recognition of the new ideas and initiatives that Emirates’ sales teams implement around the world, and are presented in three categories: Best Sales Team, Individual Sales, and Sales Support.

Emirates started its operations to Bangladesh with two weekly flights back in 1986 as one of their first few international destinations. This year, the airline celebrates 33 years of serving Bangladesh, with its three daily flights all operated by wide body aircraft.

Emirates travellers from Bangladesh enjoy convenient connections via Dubai to over 150 destinations in 85 countries and across six continents.
