Amari Dhaka to launch new safety, hygiene measures ONYX Clean

Amari Dhaka is set to implement an enhanced operational hygiene and safety standards known as ONYX Clean, announced by ONYX Hospitality Group in preparation to welcome travellers back to its hotels across the Asia-Pacific.

ONYX Clean will impact every step of the guest journey from arrival to departure, with updated standards and operational procedures that complement the group’s existing industry-leading health and safety initiatives, said a press release.

The measures will be introduced across all of the company’s 52 properties across 7 countries in the coming weeks, and at all new openings.

Amari Dhaka is preparing for full ONYX Clean implementation, as team members take this opportunity to prepare, train and fine-tune procedures for the safety and well-being of all guests and team members.

As part of this operational hiatus, majority of Amari Dhaka team members are taking online training on delivering awareness about pathogen risks and demonstrating enhanced cleaning and sanitising methodologies as well as updated guest service protocols while staying at home.

Like every ONYX property, Amari Dhaka will appoint an in-house ONYX Clean champion who will ensure the implementation.

It will also conduct internal audit of all standards based on a property-wide checklist developed in partnership with Ecolab, a global leader in hygiene, safety and energy technology solutions and supplier of many cleaning products used by ONYX Hospitality Group properties.

Every property will adhere to an updated and consistent list of housekeeping, maintenance and service delivery protocols,. ” he added.

The revised standards of the ONYX Clean initiative take into consideration every step of the stay journey that is visible to guests, as well as the ‘unseen’ heart-of-house areas such as team member dining and locker rooms, receiving bay, food and supplies storage, and kitchens.
