Titas Gas recommends 26pc cash dividend

The board of directors of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Ltd has recommended 26 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2019, said an official disclosure on Thursday.

The final approval of dividend will come during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held on December 22.

The record date for entitlement of dividend is November 18, 2019.

The company has also reported EPS of Tk. 4.70, NAV per share of Tk. 70.08 and NOCFPS of Tk. 5.29 for the year ended on June 30, 2019 as against Tk. 3.43, Tk. 67.28 and Tk. (0.50) respectively for the same period of the previous year.

In 2018, the company disbursed 25 per cent cash dividend.

There will be no price limit on the trading of the shares of the company today following its corporate declaration.

Each share of the company, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 2008, closed at Tk 36 each on Wednesday at Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

The company’s paid-up capital is Tk 9.89 billion and authorised capital is Tk 20 billion while total number of securities is 989.22 million.

The government owns 75 per cent stake in the company, institutional investors own 14.19 per cent, foreign 1.85 per cent and the general public 8.96 per cent as on September 30, 2019, the DSE data shows.
