Stocks decline amid low trading

The Dhaka bourse Sunday started the session with a declining mood amid investors’ less participation.

After one hour session, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) displayed moderate loss in turnover and key index as losers took control over the gainers.

The market started the session with a negative note and continued the same for one hour. During the period, the market displayed no recovery stance.

The DSE broad index DSEX lost 0.40 per cent or 23.82 points to close at 5804.16 points at 11.30am.

The shariah based index DSES and blue chip index DS30 also declined marginally.

Of total issues are being traded, 77 advanced, 145 declined and 43 were unchanged and the turnover stood at above Tk 676.91 points.

Monno Ceramic was in top of turnover leaders followed by CVO Petrochemical Refinery, LankaBangla Finance and Beximco Pharmaceuticals.
