Madhumati Challengers emerge champions in Walton Khulna Press Club Media Cup

Madhumati Challengers have become champions in Walton Khulna Press Club Media Cup with an unbeaten record, beating Rupsha Tigers by five wickets on Tuesday.

Walton Group announced this in a press release.

Madhumati Challengers had won the final match toss, but opted for fielding sending their counterparts Rupsha Tigers to bat.

Batting first, Rupsha Tigers scored 123 runs for six wickets in full 20 overs setting it as a target for Madhumati Challengers who overcame it for six wickets in 19.1 overs.

Champions Madhumati Challengers’ Captain Mohammad Ali Sony, who alone took five wickets in the final, was adjudged man of the match.

Runners-up Rupsha Tigers’ Tonmoy obtained man of the series title, scoring 202 runs and taking two wickets.

Khulna Press Club organised the four-match tournament.
