Bangladesh need 231 to level Test series against West Indies in the Dhaka Test.

Fierce and accurate bowling attack by Tigers saw the Caribbeans crumble for 117 in their second innings of the second Test. The tourists had a first innings lead of 113, reports UNB.

After lunch on day four, West Indies lost their last four wickets adding only 19 runs in five overs. Of their last four wickets, Taijul Islam bagged two and Nayeem Islam grabbed the others.

In the morning session, West Indies were unable to open their arms as Abu Jayed Rahi pulled off two early wickets removing Jomel Warrican and Kyle Mayers.

Taijul took the third wicket of the day removing Jermaine Blackwood with the help of stunning wicket-keeping by Liton Das, who removed the bails when Blackwood was slightly out of the popping crease.

Bonner was the highest run getter for the visitors posting 38 while Joshua Da Silva scored 20, and on the first day, John Campbell scored 18. Other than these three, none of the West Indian batsmen was able to reach double-digit score.

Taijul ended up taking four wickets conceding 36 runs while Nayeem bagged three for 34, and Abu Jayed took two.

Earlier, in the first innings of the game, West Indies posted 409 runs. In reply, Bangladesh scored 296 with most of the batsman failed to carry on despite having to secure some good starts.

Bangladesh’s highest successful chase in Test is 215 of West Indies back in 2009 in St George's, Grenada, which is only win of Bangladesh chasing more than 200 in Tests.
