Bangladesh give Australia 132-run target

Bangladeshi batsmen struggled against Australian bowlers and managed to score 131 runs in the first of five T20 matches in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Shakib Al Hasan raised the Bangladesh hopes but his innings came to an end at 36 from 33 balls at the death overs.

Afif Hossain finally helped Tigers with 23 off 17 balls runs to cross 120 runs.

Sent in to bat first by Mathew Wade, Bangladesh batters could not accelerate the run rate required in T20 format.

Mohammad Naim scored 30 and captain Mahmudullah contributed 20.

Josh Hazelwood captured three wickets and Mitchell Starc two to limit the Bangladesh innings.
