THE common people of our country are very disappointed with the way our politicians are behaving in respect of the Gulshan attack that took away 22 lives. The chilling incident in which innocent people were murdered brutally shocked the conscience of the world. The rhetorical speeches of our politicians will only encourage the extremists to plan and execute similar attacks in future and terrorise the country. Now is the time when we should all be united and fight terrorism together. The government should do everything to foster unity among the people. The government must come forward to bring all parties to the same platform and only then we can expect to see a change in the situation. The religious leaders can play an important role to fight extremism and we cannot overlook their importance in our society.
