Facebook addiction

Updated :

FACEBOOK is at present the most popular social network around the world as it helps us to stay in touch with our friends and family members no matter where they live. But for some people it has become an addiction and is hampering their daily work. For students, it affects their study.

Many housewives are seen spending an inappropriate amount of time on Facebook and thus they are neglecting their children and homes.

Proper upbringing of children in such circumstances is being hampered. In the office arena as well we see people browsing Facebook and unnecessarily wasting their office time.

I know lot of people who spend more time on Facebook rather than socializing in their real life. We must realize that to spend inappropriate time on Facebook is rather an obsession than a help.

Particularly children and teenagers will be adversely affected.

The parents should be particularly careful that their children do not spend unusually long time on Facebook and concentrate on their studies instead so that they do better in their exams and excel in their working life.

Generally, all of us should pursue a restricted use of Facebook as a tool to stay in touch with friends and relatives.

Information technology is a blessing for human beings and we should take proper care so that it does not turn into a curse.
