The Trading Corporation of Bangladesh (TCB) has started selling essential commodities at subsidised rates targeting 5,35,000 families in Chattogram under the family card programme.
Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation Rezaul Karim Chowdhury as the chief guest inaugurated the programme by handing over the essentials to the dealers for sale by TCB on Tuesday afternoon.
The dealers started selling the goods on Wednesday.
