Stocks of food grain at public warehouses are more than 1.56 million tonnes as of March 13 this year.
The Ministry of Food revealed the data recently.
Of the total stock, rice and wheat are over 1.40 million tonnes and 0.15 million tonnes respectively,
The current stored food grain is satisfactory and adequate so far. The grain is stored more than monthly demand and distribution plan, according to the ministry report.
There is no possibility of food grain deficit in future, it added.
