South Korean stocks fall, won up

South Korea’s stock fell on Monday, while the Korean won rose slightly.

At 06:30 GMT, the KOSPI was down 8.56 points or 0.33 per cent at 2,549.41, reports Reuters.

The won was quoted at 1,114.18 per US dollar, up 0.1 per cent from the previous day, while in one-year non-deliverable forwards it was being transacted at 1,111.75 per dollar.

The won was quoted at 1,115 per dollar on the onshore settlement platform, where it ended the previous session at 1,113.8.

The KOSPI is up around 26.2 per cent so far this year, and up by 7.58 per cent in the previous 30 days.
