India beats Namibia by 9  wickets to finish their World Cup campaign with a dominating win over a moderate Namibian side.

A stormy Rohit Sharma took over the Namibian bowling after he was dropped at short fine leg in the very first over by Van Lingen. The storm began soon after. KL Rahul joined the bandwagon and heaved the seamers for sixers.

Rohit Sharma scored a quickfire inning of 56 runs off 27 balls only. His run was ended by Frylinck when he induced an edge only to be caught by the wicketkeeper Green.

KL Rahul and Suryakumar Yadav stepped on the gas even harder after Rohit’s exit. KL Rahul bashed Namibian bowlers all over the ground to score an unbeaten 54 off 36 deliveries. Suryakumar Yadav contributed an 18 ball 25 runs and saw his side home.

KL Rahul hit a boundary to end India’s campaign with a thumping win in style.

Earlier in the innings, Namibia had a steady start to their batting. Opener SJ Baard and Van Lingen were batting valiantly against the dangerous Indian seamers.

Jasprit Bumrah picked up Van Lingen (14 off 15 balls) with a brilliant bouncer. Ravindra Jadeja took two quick wickets of Craig Williams (0 off 4 balls) and SJ Baard (21 off 21 balls) which left the Namibian batting lineup in turmoil.

Ravichandran Ashwin joined the party when JN Loftie-Eaton (5 off 5 balls) edged one to the slip fielder Rohit Sharma. David Wiese and MG Erasmus tried to rebuild their innings after the top order debacle.

Ravi Ashwin picked both MJ Erasmus and Zane green in two consecutive overs and finished an incredible spell of 3 wickets for 20 runs. Ravindra Jadeja did even better with a mesmerising spell of 3 wickets for only 16 runs.

Jasprit Bumrah picked up David Wiese (26 off 25 balls) and restricted Namibia to a total of only 132 runs. Ravindra Jadeja was judged the Man of the Match for his match-winning spell of 3 wickets.
