Mild heat wave may continue in three districts: BMD

Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Rajshahi, Khulna, and Jashore and it may continue, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing 9:00 am today (Tuesday). 

Rain or thundershowers with temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions, it added. 

However, the day and night temperature may rise slightly over the country, reports BSS. 

Country's maximum temperature on Monday was recorded 34.6 degrees Celsius at Jashore and minimum temperature today was 22.5 degrees Celsius at Tetulia. 

The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded 45 mm at Srimangal. 

The sun sets at 6.38 pm today and rises at 5.12 am tomorrow in the capital.
