A six-member BNP delegation sat in a meeting with Chief Election Commissioner KM Nurul Huda on Tuesday morning ahead of the mayoral elections to Khulna and Gazipur city corporations.

The meeting began around 11:00am at the Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka.

BNP standing committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain is leading the BNP team, reports UNB.

The other members of the delegation are party stranding committee members Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Nazrul Islam Khan, Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, and vice-chairman Chowdhury Kamal Ibne Yusuf.

Party insiders said the BNP team will present their recommendations and demands before the EC to hold the two city polls and the next national election in a free and fair manner.

They will also demand for deployment of army in the two city polls and include the Armed Forces in the definition of the law enforcers in the RPO to ensure their deployment during the 11th parliamentary polls.
