Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) demolished more than 350 illegal makeshift shops during an eviction drive in the city’s Banasree area on Monday.
A team, led by DNCC Zonal Executive Officer of Zone-3 and also executive magistrate Md Hemayet Hossian, conducted the drive and mobile court, said DNCC Public Relations Officer ASM Mamun.
The drive was launched from 10:00am to 1:00 pm of the day on the road of the A Block of Banasree at the area.
The road was freed from illegal occupation and opened for the people for movement, said Mamun.
The drives and mobile courts will continue to dismantle the illegal establishments from the city, he added.
