A madrasa teacher was stabbed to death by miscreants in Barobkunda area under Sitakunda upazila of Chattogram district on Monday night.
He was identified as Emran Hossain Riad, 28, a teacher of Sitakunda Alia Madrasa, hailed from Sonagazi upazila of Feni district.
Delwar Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sitakunda Police Station, said Riad was stabbed to death after an altercation over damaging light posts of the road beside the residence of victim in Barobkunda area.
Police recovered the body and sent it to Chittagong Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy, according to a report by BSS.
A case was filed with Sitakunda Police Station.
