JMB man gets 10-year imprisonment in explosives case

A Rangamati court on Monday sentenced a member of Jamaat-ul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to 10-year imprisonment in a case filed under the Explosive Substances Act. 

Rangamati District and Sessions Judge Md Jahed Saiful Elahi passed the order.

Convicted JMB member Shamim Mirza Galib has been in jail for more than 15 years, said Public Prosecutor Avdocate Rafikul Islam, reports UNB.

According to the case statement, Galib was behind the blast at Dignity Hotel in Rangamati town in 2001.
