Two killed, two injured as bus hits motorcycle in Naogaon

Two motorcyclists were killed and two others sustained injuries in a road accident at Barunkandi village on bypass road of the Naogaon district town on Saturday morning.

 

 

The deceased were identified as Masud Rana, 42, security guard of Jamuna Bank’s Naogaon branch and son of late Abdus Sattar Mondal of the village in Sadar upazila,  and Sohel Rana, 30, son of Abdus Jabbar of Shibpur village of the upazila.

 

 

The accident took place when a bus crashed into a motorcycle coming from opposite direction around 9:45 am and plunged into a roadside ditch, leaving both of the motorcyclists dead on the spot and two others injured, said Toriqul Islam, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station.

 

 

Tipped-off, police rushed to spot and sent the dead bodies to Naogaon 100-bed Sadar Hospital morgue, reports UNB.

 

 

The injured bus driver and his helper were taken to nearby hospital, the OC added.
