215 sent to institutional quarantine in Bhola

Local administration on Thursday sent 215 people to institutional quarantine and kept three houses under lockdown in Manpura upazila of Bhola district, reports UNB. 

Bozla Rahman, officer-in-charge of Doulatkhan Police Station, said 215 people, including 37 attendees of Tablig Jamaat, were kept in two schools and a college building in quarantine.

Among them, 78 people returned from Madaripur’s Shibchar and Munshiganj’s Mawa terminal area on Wednesday, the OC added.

The OC also said they locked down a house at Dalilkhar Bazar as a woman from Narayanganj returned there on Wednesday.

While two others houses were put under lockdown in Manpura after two people returned there from Mirpur and Jatrabari areas in Dhaka, he added.

Bangladesh has so far confirmed 21 deaths from coronavirus and 330 cases as of Thursday.

Meanwhile, the global death toll from coronavirus reached 88,565 as of Thursday.
