Two die as light aircraft crashes in Thailand’s Phuket

Two people have been killed and two others seriously injured after a light aircraft crash-landed in Thailand's Phuket on Saturday.

The Phuket News reported citing the police that the incident took place at about 10.20 am local time and involved a Butterfly 05 (HS-PMS) light aircraft belonging to the Siam Aviation Association (SAA).

Two of the four unidentified people aboard reportedly died on the spot while the injured were rushed to hospital, reports Xinhua news agency.

Police are yet to investigate the cause of the incident.
