At least four Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Lassipora area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

Three Army personnel and one cop sustained injuries, police said.

"They have been hospitalised and are in a stable condition. It was a clean operation, no collateral damage happened during the encounter," they said.

"Four terrorists have been eliminated in Pulwama operation," Srinagar-based defence spokesman Col Rajesh Kalia said.

Identities of the terrorists are yet to be ascertained, reports TOI.

A huge cache of arms and ammunition, including two AK rifles, 1 SLR and a pistol have been recovered from the site. Security forces have cordoned off the area and search operations are underway.

Security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Lassipora area of Pulwama following specific information about the presence of terrorists in early hours, a police official said.

He said the search operation turned into an encounter after terrorists fired upon the search party of the forces.
