At least 20 people are feared dead after a young suicide bomber detonated his explosives while mingling among the worshippers at a mosque in the northeast Nigerian town of Mubi on early Tuesday, according to Police.

Police spokesman Othman Abubakar said the explosion occurred when people were arriving for morning prayers.

While there was no immediate claim of responsibility, suspicion immediately fell on Bodko Haram, reports AP.

The Islamic extremist group is based in neighboring Borno state and has been blamed for scores of similar attacks.
