Jubo League leader killed in trawler capsize in Sunamganj

A local Jubo League leader was killed as a trawler capsized in Khorocher haor in Bishwambarpur upazila of Sunamganj on Saturday night.
The deceased was identified as Arun Barman from Bahadurpur village and a Jubo League president of Ward No 6 in Fatehpur union.
A trawler with 15 passengers capsized in the haor due to gusty wind, said Mollah Monir, the Officer-in-Charge of Bishwambarpur Police Station.
Although other passengers managed to swim ashore but Arun Barman drowned.
He was taken to Bishwambarpur Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
