Earthquake of magnitude 5.2 jolts Iran

An earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale shook Sisakht city in Iran’s western Kohgiluye va Boyerahmad province at 10:38 local time (0608 GMT) on Wednesday.

The epicentre, with a depth of 8 km, was determined to be at 30.834 degrees north latitude and 51.559 degrees east longitude, according to the Iranian Seismological Centre.

Xinhua reported quoting local media that at least 18 people suffered injuries in the quake.
