Customs Intelligence nabs one with 31 gold bars at Dhaka airport

A man was arrested with 31 gold bars weighing around 3.430 kg from Dhaka Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday.

The arrestee is identified as Siddique, hailing from Bancharampur upazila in Brahmanbaria.

Siddique came from Riyadh and landed at the airport around 6:00 pm, reports UNB.

Director General of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) Moinul Khan said a customs team challenged him and recovered the gold bars from his bag. 

They also recovered 15 Ampoules of Diclofenac from his procession, he added.
