Rajshahi police seize 176 sacks of OMS rice

Police seized 176 sacks of rice meant for open market sale (OMS) programme from a truck in Rajshahi city on Sunday.

The law enforcers also arrested driver of the truck.

Officer-in-charge of Boalia Police Station Aman Ullah said that police conducted the drive around 12:30pm based on secret information.

"The rice-laden truck was heading towards Baharampur from Rajshahi Sadar food godown," he said.

Later, they seized the rice and arrested driver Firoz as there was no legal document, the OC added.
