One killed, five injured as bus hits auto-rickshaw in Madaripur

A man was killed and five others injured as a bus hit an auto-rickshaw in the municipality area in Sadar upazila of Madaripur district on Tuesday morning.

The accident took place on Dhaka-Madaripur highway around 9:45 am when the ‘Service Paribahan’ bus hit the auto-rickshaw, leaving Farhad Hossain (37), a resident of Housdi village of the upazila, dead on the spot and five other passengers, including two women, injured, according to Police.

The injured were rushed to Sadar Upazila Health Complex, reports UNB.

Later, they were shifted to Faridpur Medical College and Hospital as their condition deteriorated.
