Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader on Monday said the participation of Bangladesh Army in relief distribution among the Rohingyas along with the civil administration has ensured a good discipline.

“No one starved to death as huge relief materials are coming for the refugees and there’s enough stock of relief. There’s no chaos in distributing relief in the last one month,” he said, reports UNB.

The minister was talking to reporters while distributing relief materials under the auspices of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry among the Rohingyas at Kutupalong Rohingya Refugee Camp in Cox’s Bazar.

Public representatives, political activists, social organisations and different private organisations are extending their helping hands to the displaced Myanmar nationals, he said.

Quader, also Awami League General Secretary, said the government has taken an initiative to construct roads and sheds in Rohingya camps and bring the camps under adequate sanitation system, said a PID handout.

State Minister for CHT Affairs Bir Bahadur Ushwe Sing, Abdur Rahman, MP, and President of Chittagong Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mahbubul Alam were present on the occasion.
