The main congregation of Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of the Muslims, will be held at the National Eidgah in Dhaka at 8:00 am on the Eid day.
The venue of the main congregation will be shifted to Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8:30 am in case of inclement weather.
Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Sayeed Khokon said this while visiting the National Eidgah on Monday, reports UNB.
A four-tier security will be put in place to ensure security of the devotees at National Eidgah.
Almost 100,000 male devotees alongside some 5,000 female devotees will be able to offer Eid prayer at the Eidgah, said Khokon.
There will be arrangements of purified drinking water for meeting the demand of water for devotees, he said.
Besides, a machine for preventing lightning strike will be set up outside the Eidgah Maidan, he added.
