An eight-year-old girl was allegedly tortured and strangulated to death in Uttarpara area of Shreepur upazila in Gazipur on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Mousumi Aktar, daughter of Quoddus Mia.
On information, police recovered the body from their house with wound marks on neck and her private parts, reports UNB.
Victim's step-brother Idris Ali was arrested for interrogation in this regard.
