Traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in their simultaneous drives on the city streets on Saturday filed 2,149 cases against different modes of vehicles for traffic rules violation.
It also realised over Tk 0.727 million as fine for traffic rules violation, said an official release of DMP today.
Of the total cases, 106 were lodged for driving on wrong sides, 32 for using hydraulic horn and 32 others for using tinted glass.
Besides, 557 cases were filed against motorcycles and 22 motorbikes were seized for the traffic rules violation, said a BSS report.
It also dumped 33 vehicles and wrecked 245 others.
