Law enforcers nab 32 on various charges in Dinajpur

Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Police, in separate drives from Monday night to Tuesday morning, detained 32 persons including two alleged drug pedlars, two activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and seized 220 bottles of Phensedyl from different areas of Dinajpur district.

Several cases, including charges of subversive activities, are pending with different police stations against the 30 arrested persons who were picked up from different areas during the drives, said Police.

In the meantime, a team of BGB nabbed two suspected drug traders along with contraband Phensedyl syrup after searching a car at Hili railway station in Hakimpur upazila of the district.

The arrestees were handed over to the Hakimpur Thana police, reports a local news agency.
