A case has been filed against the building owner over the blast in a house of Masterbari in Bhaluka upazila that killed a Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (Kuet) student.
Mamunur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Bhaluka Model Police Station, said sub-inspector Kajal Hossain filed the case on Sunday night against building owner Abdur Razzak for negligence, reports UNB.
Md Towhidul Islam, 23, a final year Kuet student who was doing internship at Mymensingh Textile Mills hailing from Bogra, was killed and three others -- Shahin, hailing from Sirajganj, Hafiz from Naogaon and Dipta Sarker of Magura -- received burn injuries in the explosion inside the six-storey building early Sunday.
