Professor Dr Md Forhad Hossain from the Department of Statistics of Jahangirnagar University (JU) has been appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of Maulana Bhasani University of Science and Technology (MBSTU).
This information was given in a circular signed by Nur-e-Alam, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Education with the approval of Abdul Hamid, the President and Chancellor, on Monday (January 10).
According to the notification, the term of his appointment as Vice-Chancellor will be four years.
As Vice-Chancellor, he will receive a salary allowance equal to his current position. He will enjoy other benefits related to the post, as per the rules.
As the university's chief executive officer, he will be on the university campus full-time. In addition, the President may cancel the appointment at any time if necessary.
