East West University Business Club (EWUBC) arranged the panel discussion round of their flagship event 'Career Clinic 2022' at East West University on Wednesday.
The panel discussion round was held followed by the second workshop of 'Career Clinic 2022', industry overview session, powered by ShareTrip that was held at East West University. The session was conducted by the keynote speaker, GM Kamrul Hassan, former CEO of Igloo and Sindabad.com. Kamrul gave the participants a holistic overview of the different industries in Bangladesh and helped them to learn how different industries work. The session was concluded with a Q/A session.
The panel discussion round featured a distinguished set of panel members that included, Rajshekhar Debnath, CFO, Finance & HR Division of RedDot Digital Limited, Bishwajit Das, sales director of Reckitt Benkiser BD, Sarifuddin Nawroz, head of Business-Life Essentials of Unilever Bangladesh Limited, Sanjoy Kumar Das, head of Organization Development and HR Strategy of City Bank, Sayeda Tahya Hossain, human resource director of Perfetti Van Melle Bangladesh, Sharmin Rahman, acting head of Marketing of Grameenphone, Rezwan Ullah Khan, senior manager, Marketing of Akij Group Ltd, Jihad Bin Tahzeeb, account director of Grey Advertising Bangladesh Limited.
Dr Md Abdul Momen, associate professor of East West University, conducted the discussion as the moderator. During the discussion, the panelists discussed different issues of the recent and overall job market that are faced by fresh graduates and recruiters. The discussion included topics like changes in the corporate sector, adapting to ever-changing industries, pursuing careers abroad, and the importance of extracurricular activities.
Prior to the industry overview workshop and the panel discussion round, On October 24, the first workshop of the 'Career Clinic 2022' was held on CV and Cover Letter Writing. The workshop was facilitated by Abu Usuf Md Rashedul Amin, general manager, Employer Branding, bKash limited. Rashedul took an in-depth session on making an effective CV by showing the participants key aspects of a CV and the dos and don'ts. During the event, the faculty member of East West University, Nayeema Sultana, senior lecturer, Department of Business Administration was also present to greet the keynote speaker with tokens of appreciation. The workshop concluded with an interactive Q/A session with the participants.
The last stage of Career Clinic 2022, 'CV Screening and Interview Round' will be held on October 29. In this round, the head of HR and professionals from more than 20 prominent companies of nine different industries will interview the participants and review their CVs. The participants then will receive expert guidelines and feedback from the representatives to improve their CVs and career profile. After the CV screening and interview round, 'Career Clinic 2022' will conclude the event with a closing ceremony.
