Connecting theories with practices of corporate world

After pulling off two successful seasons, this year North South University Human Resources Club (NSU HR CLUB) has organised and launched the third season of its signature event 'HR Calibration 3.0'.

This competition is one of the biggest Strategic HR Model Building competitions in the country.

"HR Calibration 3.0" is an inter university HR based competition which helps students to connect the theories with the practices of corporate world. This enables the students to be prepared for facing the challenges that lie upon the vast corporate world by simulating real-life human resources practices. This competition is open for any undergraduate student of any university of the country.

The competition comprises three phases. The first phase is an online case solving phase. The participants will have to give a feasible solution to given case that will be based on the current HR trends and practices within a time limit of 24 hours.

60-80 qualifying teams would be selected for phase-2, which would start with a workshop based on "Time Management Strategies". The workshops will be attended by the best corporate professionals in the country who would talk about their insights and experiences. Afterwards, the teams would be given a case to solve within an hour, while being imposed with certain rules and regulations, and then they would present their solutions in front of the judges.

After overcoming the hurdles of the two phases, the qualifying teams would advance towards phase-3, where they would be given access to a company and a case that would require a real-life corporate problem to be solved through the requirement of intense research and field work. Based on their thorough research and observations, the participants would craft a strategic HR model and then present their solutions in the grand finale at NSU, and the top three best performing teams would be declared the winners.

Interested students can participate in this event through online or the official Facebook page of NSU HR club, or on-spot registration at NSU premises from November 24 to December 04.
