CFA Society Bangladesh has awarded a total of 162 scholarships to CFA Level-I candidates for 2021.

The Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) programme is a postgraduate professional certification offered internationally by the CFA Institute to investment and financial professionals.

The programme covers a considerably wide range of topics relating to advanced investment analysis, security analysis, statistics, probability theory, fixed income, derivatives, economics, financial analysis, corporate finance, alternative investments, and portfolio management, and provides generalist knowledge in other areas of finance.

Each year, the CFA Institute offers this access and regulatory scholarship during September with the help of local societies.

CFA Institute access scholarship is a part of CFA Institute annual commitment to promote the highest standards of ethics, education and professional excellence in the investment management industry.

The scholarship will help enhance the accessibility of the CFA programme to a wider range of candidates and give them an opportunity to advance in their career.

"This shows CFA Institute's strong commitment to help developing professionals from this market. We get a significant amount of scholarship every year in Bangladesh, which in my knowledge, is the highest by any professional body offered to the candidates from Bangladesh," said Md Shaheen Iqbal, President, CFA Society Bangladesh.

The access scholarship is open for anyone who wishes to pursue the CFA programme.
